Partial discharges are an important indicator of the failure of this insulation. A partial discharge does not necessarily lead immediately to an electrical breakdown, but the insulating material will still be damaged. Sooner or later, partial discharges will inevitably lead to motor failure. Early detection is therefore highly relevant in order to avoid total failure.<br \/>\nThe invention relates to a reliable, accurate and cost-effective method for analyzing the condition of electromechanical energy converters.
