Funding Programme WIPANO
Through the new funding programme “WIPANO – Knowledge and Technology Transfer through Patents and Standards”, successor to the SIGNO programme, universities receive grants for knowledge and technology transfer through patents and standards.
In line with the funding priority “Public Research – Funding of Exploitation”, the WIPANO programme supports universities in securing their results from research and development by means of industrial property rights. Like the previous programme SIGNO, the new programme aims to provide financial support for the registration and utilisation of industrial property rights (patents and utility models).
What is the procedure at WIPANO?
Patenting is supported in the context of several service packages, which EZN provides for you in a qualified and competent manner. Only service package 4 requires the appointment of a patent agent:
- Rough examination
- Detailed evaluation
- Advice and coordination on the application for intellectual property rights
- Application for industrial property rights (official charges and patent agent fees)
- Activities concerning the utilisation (e.g. prototype construction, trade fairs, marketing)
